Izumi Suzuki - President

Ms. Suzuki was trained and licensed in Japan as a simultaneous interpreter. She established Suzuki, Myers & Associates, Ltd. in 1984 to provide bilingual services.

Ms. Suzuki is certified "in both directions" (English-to-Japanese, and vise-versa) by the American Translators Association, where she has served as a Board Member, as the Administrator of the Japanese Language Division and as an Accreditation Language Chair. She is also a state-certified Japanese court interpreter. She is the immediate past President of MiTiN (Michigan Translators/Interpreters Network), an ATA Chapter and a member of NAJIT (National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators). She was also admitted to the Round Table Group, the world's preeminent consortium of expert witness professionals.

In Memoriam - Steven D. Myers

Mr. Myers was trained and licensed in Michigan as an attorney. He lived in Tokyo more than a decade, serving as the Deputy Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, and as the CEO of a large American marketing subsidiary. He also served as President of ArtBridge, Inc.

While in Japan, Mr. Myers completed an academic year of intensive Japanese at I.C.U. His experiences also included working at a busy Japanese law firm, and managing US/Japan trade and business issues.

We were greatly saddened by Steve's untimely death in January, 2012. He is greatly missed.

Hiromi Fujii - Director of Translation / Conference Interpreter.

Ms. Fujii is a graduate of Monterey Institute of International Studies with a Master's degree in Interpreting and Translation English/Japanese. She is a member of the Japanese Language Division of ATA, and a registered court interpreter at the Oakland County Court.

Sam Addington - Project Manager

Mr. Addington is an experienced translator of Japanese in various fields including automotive and patent translation. He has lived extensively in Asia and has a Master's degree in Chinese literature. He also has experience interpreting on the workshop floor.

Ayumi Uchino - Language Instruction Manager

Ayumi has been living in Michigan since 1996. She is an excellent liaison between our instructors and the students, managing both Japanese and English classes to assure the best instruction possible.

Eiko Koyama - Office Manager

Ms. Koyama is the office manager of Suzuki, Myers. She has lived in CA, NY and MI a total of five years. She has volunteered at the local elementary school and is raising a seven year old son with her husband. Please contact her for driver license, translation and interpreting inquires.
