The Late Steve D. Myers

Mr. Myers suffered an untimely death on January 17, 2012.

He was trained and licensed as an attorney in Michigan. Mr. Myers lived in Tokyo more than a decade, serving as the Deputy Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, and as the CEO of a large American marketing subsidiary. He also served as President of ArtBridge, Inc., and had experience working at a Japanese law firm, and managing U.S.-Japan trade and business issues.

For many years, Mr. Myers was instrumental as a bridge between the city of Novi and its Japanese population, and this was recognized at the City of Novi’s cherry-tree planting ceremony in the spring of 2012. The cherry tree planted outside the Novi City Hall in honor of Mr. Myers, symbolizing the City of Novi’s gratitude and remembrance, has at its base a plaque featuring his photo.
