"Novi Business Forms Cultural Counterpart"

March 10, 2001 - Novi. Long aware that cultural differences are the greatest barrier to international trade and understanding, Steve Myers of Suzuki, Myers & Associates, Ltd. has formed ArtBridge, a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between diverse cultures through the performing and graphic arts.

Current active projects include: (a) composing and producing a CD with jazz keyboardist Ian Smith of Windsor and Shikandaza, a traditional Shakuhachi group in Kyoto; (b) producing performances in North America and Japan that combine ragtimist Bob Milne of Michigan and daikagura master Kagami; and (c) holding workshops for theatre, dance and mime students in Michigan by rakugo master Kyoraku.

Says founder myers: "We hope to begin a legacy of cross-cultural performances and events that are fun, self-supporting and wonderful cultural bridges." Observes Eri
