- Novi. The American Translators Association is
the most powerful organization of its kind world-wide,
with some 8000 members in North America and beyond,
headquartered in Washington, D.C. Members past
and present of ATA’s board of directors are among
the elite in their field, and their numbers include
Izumi Suzuki of Novi, Michigan.
Suzuki, president of Suzuki, Myers & Associates,
Ltd. and president of the Michigan Translators/Interpreters
Network, recently completed her second term on
the prestigious ATA board. Of such value are her
services, Suzuki was immediately selected to be
the administrator of the Japanese Language Division
of ATA. Not only that, she serves as the chief
of graders of the ATA Japanese accreditation examination
system. Suzuki is thus literally the arbitrar
of Japanese translation standards in North America.
